Payments

Currently all payments are processed via Paypal who charge by the transaction rather than charging a monthly fee. This decision has been made to keep overheads down in these early days of trying to establish the company. Paypal being the sole provider will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, with a separate provider being used if the business becomes viable over the coming months.

Your products aren’t cheap!?

No they aren’t, they are however made of premium materials all sourced and manufactured from within the UK. I have been conscious to keep overheads to an absolute minimum, with the company being set up and self-funded from my own pocket, with initial help from Interform to cover prototyping costs.

The product designs, website, photos are all my own work and though admittedly lack the polish of a professional, I hope has resulted in the ability to strike the very fine balance of offering reasonable RRP’s, whilst ensuring a small profit to give the company the possibility of becoming established into the future.

I like the look of what you are selling, is there anywhere I can see your range prior to purchasing?

We are solely online, but if you are close to High Wycombe you are more than welcome to arrange a visit to the factory to see physical units. I do hope to exhibit at Brick Festivals where and when I can and will advertise these occasions ahead of time on the website and begrudgingly on social media...

Your social media presence is a bit pants?

I know, I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to all things Pin-Face-X-Tock-Tube based and get deeply frustrated trying to use them. My hope is satisfied customer’s will spread the word of what Brick SpaceTM has to offer better than I ever could using these channels!

Build Station: Why can’t I just use Tupperware or a Stanley Organiser?

No reason whatsoever, however being a fan of the largest LEGO Technic 1:8 Super Cars my personal experience has been one of frustration when using either of these solutions. Multiple boxes or organisers are needed to cater for the first build stages of large sets. With the Tupperware boxes having a tendency to move around the surface that you are building on and the near vertical sides of a Stanley Organiser don’t help the frustration either, especially if you have large hands!

Prior to designing and using the Build Station my approach was always to wait until I had the house to myself for a few days and taking over the living room floor!

However this approach is no longer viable as I have a toddler that likes to eat anything and everything. The birth of my boy and the resulting lack of time to feed the LEGO® habit is indeed how the Build StationTM concept came about. It has been designed from the ground up to address each and every one of these issues and gives the opportunity to start and stop building in an instant.

Build Station: How secure is the latch – can I drop it!?

The short answer is no, please don’t drop it! Whilst the Build StationTM will withstand the impact, (it’s made from materials that you can find cladding agricultural and construction vehicles), it will briefly distort due to the natural flexibility of the plastic – releasing the latch and resulting in all of the LEGO® bricks inside spilling out.

With the requirement to keep additional components to an absolute minimum to keep costs down, the latch has been designed into the plastic itself with the features around it all serving a purpose to ensure it holds the lid shut, capitalising on the flexibility of the plastic.

Build Station MAster: Storing in between builds…it’s rather large?

Yep, necessarily large, as it'sdesigned to cater for the biggest LEGO® sets! The Master is available in two versions; complete and base.

The complete version features an integrated adapter on the underside that allows it to be hung either horizontally or vertically on a wall, in a cupboard or behind a door via a wall bracket called the Stash My StationTM - also included in the complete package.

The base version does not have this adapter and so storage options will be limited to on top of cupboards or under beds. Some lengths have been gone to in the design of it in the it doesn't detract to much from other home furnishings.

MinifijarsTM: do they rotate as seen in the videos?

Not as standard, but that’s not to say they never will…If you can’t wait check out "small product photographic turntables" on popular shopping sites.

I have an idea for a display, do you do custom work?

Yes we can look at custom work, please email – hello@brickspace.uk to discuss your ideas and how we could work together to make them reality.

WHy do some of your images feature santa hats!?

Well I have been working on the development of the Build StationTM for nearly a year now, but originally had delusions of releasing it shortly after Christmas 2023 thinking there would be other LEGO® fans like me who had received a new set for Christmas without any time to build it. Given Christmas is round the corner again I didn't feel there was a need to retake the photos featuring the Santa hat!
